We specialise in transforming old, unloved and inherited jewellery into Legacy pieces that not only reflect your individual style and personality but also carry special stories and memories. These pieces serve as a tangible connection to your personal history, family traditions, and values, encapsulated in a beautifully crafted jewel that you can cherish for years to come.
2. How does the process work?
It all starts with a Discovery Call. This is an opportunity for you to ask questions about your jewellery and share your design ideas and hopes for your Legacy jewellery. It is also an opportunity for us to discover the history and stories behind your jewellery and establish the most important pieces to be used in your Legacy design. Then, we get started on your designs!
3. Can you incorporate special elements or features into the design?
Absolutely, preservation of sentimental value is crucial to us. We are experts at incorporating special elements or features from your existing jewellery into the design. This way, every piece tells a personal and cherished story.
4. What can be re-used in a new piece of jewellery?
We have worked with all kinds of old pieces of jewellery and gemstones. We have created new Legacy pieces using diamonds, emeralds, rubies, sapphires, tanzanites, amethysts, aquamarines, topaz and quartz. Gold can be re-used, but sadly due to its chemical make-up, platinum cannot.
5. Is having a Legacy piece created expensive?
The cost depends on a number of factors including the design, the number of gemstones (which may require unsetting, cleaning, calibrating and repolishing), the precious metal, finger size and intricacy of design. The weight, depth and width of the design also impact on the amount of precious metal and therefore the cost. However, we aim to offer a service that is both affordable and invaluable in terms of the sentimental value it brings to our customers. As a guide, prices typically start from around £2000 for a Legacy ring and £1200 for a Legacy pendant.
6. Do you only create rings?
No. We have created pendants, earrings, bangles and bracelets. The majority of what we are asked to create are rings.
7. How long does the transformation process take?
Once you have approved your design and you're ready to get started, it takes around 8-10 weeks to create your Legacy jewellery. You will be kept updated regularly throughout the creation process.
8. How can I be sure that my old jewellery will be handled carefully?
We understand the emotional value attached to your old and unloved pieces and handle each and every piece with the utmost care and respect it deserves during the transformation process. We have built our brilliant reputation and 5* service on trust, honesty and integrity.
9. What if don't have the jewellery to create the new piece I want?
If you don't have the number or quality of gemstones to create your ideal design, then we can add them. Many ladies choose to enhance their design to either create their perfect piece of jewellery, or to celebrate a special occasion, such as an anniversary or birthday.
10. What materials do you use in the transformation process?
We believe in responsible and sustainable practices. If any new precious metal is required for your design, then it will be recycled precious metal. If we add in additional diamonds or other gemstones into your design, then these are ethically sourced. (Typically we use lab grown diamonds and gemstones to minimise our impact on the environment). It is important to us that we create not only a beautiful piece of jewellery, but one that promotes sustainability and social responsibility.
11. What happens if I don't like the finished piece?
We have created a design experience to guarantee that this cannot happen. Your designs are photo-realistic, giving you a clear vision of what your completed piece will look like - down to the very last detail. If you have any doubts prior to us getting started, we will recommend having a wax model created of your design, so you can try it on and double check every detail is perfect for you.
